Core Telecom announces new partnership with The Disabilities Trust

Disabilities TrustCore Telecom LTD is delighted to announce a new partnership with The Disabilities Trust.

The Disabilities Trust is a leading UK charity which supports a whole range of people with complex needs including acquired brain injury, autism and physical disabilities. Core will initially focus on working with the Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT), which provides specialist support for people with brain injuries through Daniel Yorath House in Garforth, and with The Disabilities Trust Foundation which supports people with complex needs who may have difficulty in accessing health and social care services.

The Foundation recently undertook research about the number of homeless people with a brain injury in Leeds, and also provides support for these men and women through a partnership with St George’s Crypt in the city. As part of their support, Core Telecom have provided The Disabilities Trust with full use of their call management services and free to call numbers for a helpline. This will provide a free point of contact for anyone who is homeless in the Leeds area and thinks they may have a brain injury, enabling them to seek help or advice.

In addition, Core Telecom is also sponsoring the research launch event, which will take place in Leeds on Wednesday May 16th.

Upon agreeing the new partnership, Core Telecom’s Chief Executive Mahmood Mazhar commented: “We’re delighted to be given the opportunity to support such a great cause. The Disabilities Trust do fantastic work both locally in the Leeds area, and across the UK.”

Barrie Oldham, Chief Executive of The Disabilities Trust, said: “The support of companies such as Core Telecom helps us to make a real difference to people’s lives.  Core’s donation of the helpline and their wider support for the Trust is warmly welcomed.”
