We draw on extensive commercial experience gained from senior roles within a range of blue chip companies and each member of the team has a depth of understanding and expertise in inbound call management and non geographic number services. But ultimately, we believe that people do business with people, so we hope this section allows you to get to know us a little better.
Mahmood Mazhar
Chief ExecutiveMahmood is a qualified accountant with over 20 years of business experience in the UK. He holds a Masters Degree in Business Administration and has a wealth of business acumen within the industries of leisure, retail and property; including a previous stake in an international food manufacturing business, being integral to its fortification. Since becoming involved with the telecoms industry his strategic focus and brand development has enhanced Core Telecom's portfolio and profile.
Paul Turner
Managing DirectorPaul is an accountant and has gained extensive senior experience with Compass Group, QMH and Hilton International, as well as developing businesses in the South Asian market over the last ten years. As one of the founding partners of Core, Paul is responsible for setting business parameters and commercial direction.
Scott Walker
Sales DirectorScott has over 15 years’ experience working within the telecoms industry, having previously worked for Alternative Networks Plc for 10 years and Opal Telecom. Over the years he has worked with some of the UK's biggest businesses to improve their telecommunications across a wide variety of telephony solutions. Recently appointed company sales director in 2012, Scott is now responsible for new sales across the Group ensuring key focus on client retention and cross-selling throughout the business.
Sam Richardson
Technical DirectorWith 10 years of diverse IT & telecom's experience, Sam joined Core Telecom as Project Manager in early 2010. He has previously worked with multi-national manufacturers and companies, installing and supporting telecommunication platforms. He is now Core Telecom's Technical Director with responsibility for the company's IT systems, as well as customer facing technical projects including API integration.
Duane Dalldorf
Chief EngineerDuane is a telecoms engineer with 11 years experience working for manufacturers, carriers and telecommunications, with both TDM and VoIP. His team is responsible for Core Telecom's equipment and network. He joined Core in 2007
Paul Rourke
Head of FinancePaul is a Management Accountant and has been with Core Telecom since 2008. He has 14 years of commercial experience including 9 years in practice before moving into industry, working within the food and telecoms sectors. Paul’s responsibilities encompass full control of the company’s finances which includes preparation of the company's accounts as well as the management of all outpayments to resellers and rebate customers.
David Shields
Senior EngineerWith 25 years IT experience, David has a wealth of knowledge on a huge breadth of networking & communications issues. This includes commercial systems analysis, development & design, linux / unix servers as well as systems integration. He applies all of this on behalf of Core Telecom's clients through his expertise in, and focus on, API integration and PHP development.
James Trigg
Senior DeveloperAs a senior member of our in-house technical development team, James is responsible for ensuring our systems function effectively and integrate seamlessly with our customers. James has been a web developer for 12 years and has previously worked on web development projects in the USA. A Zend Certified Engineer, James is an expert in PHP and API integration.
George Cotter
MarketingGeorge joined the team at Core Telecom in early 2012 and brought with him nearly four years of online marketing experience. His primary role will involve developing our online presence, before moving onto our wider marketing strategy.
